Sunny conditions will make their return to the Western Slope today. As the warming trend continues our high temperatures will be above average in the 80s and 70s. Lingering moisture in the atmosphere will allow our overnight lows to stay around average in the mid to lower 50s for the valley. Expect next week to be rather warm as our temperatures will continue to rise moving into next week.
The next chance for rain will come in the form of an upper-level trough that will start to break down the ridge above us on Friday. At the moment the only locations that will likely see rainfall are the San Juans, and the Divide. For us on the Western Slope we will likely just see some gusty winds and potential fire weather conditions. We will continue to keep an eye on the system for potential changes moving forward.
