Scattered rain showers and thunderstorms continued through the overnight hours for parts of the Western Slope. Chances for heavy rain showers will persist through the morning hours, but things will start to clear up as we turn the corner into the afternoon. Temperatures will still stay on the cooler side for today thanks to the recent rain. An upper level ridge will build up for Friday and the weekend causing rain chances to fully dry out in the valleys with the high country seeing slim chances for pop up afternoon storms. This ridge will cause our highs to quickly rebound and we will be back in the 90s in Grand Junction by Monday of next week.
