Clear and Dry conditions will continue to effect the Western Slope this afternoon. We are expecting another hot day today with our afternoon highs running 10 – 15 degrees above average. We are also forecasted to tie the record today in Grand Junction at 98. High pressure has returned to the area enabling more dry air to filter into the region. Due to the clear skies allowing for more cooling overnight, our morning lows for tonight will be slightly above average in the 50s in the valley. Tomorrow’s high will be similar to today’s with another possible record in the works. Our morning lows will gradually increase as well as we push through the holiday weekend.
Next big chance for some rain and cooler afternoon conditions will be on Tuesday. A low pressure system will be making its way down with a cold front. This cold front will certainly make and impact on our temperatures, but confidence on rain outside of the divide is low. Confidence of where the rain will fall will increase as we move closer towards the weekend.
