September 6th Forecast

We will see cloudy free skies over the Western Slope. Dry westerly/northwesterly winds will push wildfire smoke into the Western Slope for the afternoon. High temperatures will be 5-10 degrees warmer than normal, and temperatures will continue to climb as we move through the week. A strong upper level ridge is centered over Nevada, and will slowly drift towards the Western Slope. Until this ridge either passes or breaks down we will continue to see hot dry and smoky conditions. Prepare for a hot week.
