Today marks the first day of October, but before we get too invested into spooky season lets look back at a summary of September’s weather. We saw 23 days with above average high temperatures. The average high for September is 2.8 degrees warmer than normal. We actually did not break that many record highs this month. The only two new record highs were on the 5th and 6th of the month both of which were 99 degrees. We did set 4 other records this month. Three record lows of 39 degrees on the 8th, 40 degrees on the 9th and 42 degrees on the 10th. The final record we set was a daily rainfall record of 0.88 inches also on the 8th. Despite setting a new rainfall record this month we still finished the month with slightly below average rainfall, and in fact we only saw measurable rainfall on four days this month. The start of October is shaping up to continue this warm and dry trend.
