Hotter temperatures are returning to the Western Slope. The rest of this week will just be clearer, drier and hot, whereas the upcoming weekend will be hotter. The silver lining will be the cool, clear and mostly calm nights – perfect for stargazing.
Mountain storms (a return to our early July pattern) will occur almost everyday during the late afternoon hours. Outside of those garden variety storms, the region will remain dry. The wind speeds could escalate to fire weather hazards by Friday. Be mindful of the very dry conditions/extreme drought category.
