Freeze Warning in place for portions of the Western Slope.

What was originally a Freeze Watch for Grand Junction, Delta and Montrose has been upgraded to a warning for freezing and subfreezing temperatures through 10 am Friday. Middle twenty degree readings and low thirty degree readings are possible and the risk for exposed pipes bursting is valid if they still contain water. Any sensitive plants left unattended can also be affected along with pets left outside. Please take the necessary precautions to avoid any catastrophes with this round of the coldest temperatures we have/will have achieved. Clearing and drying along with slowly warming temperatures are all in the forecast Friday through Monday. Another round of unsettled weather is possible for the middle of next week.

Here is a more extensive list of cities included in the Freeze Warning for Friday morning October 15, 2021.
