Red Flag Warnings again today. This will create almost identical conditions for Tuesday as many of us experienced Monday July 13. Red Flag Warnings, hotter than average afternoon temperatures and storms passing through the region.
High temperatures will be running 5-10 degrees hotter than is typical for this time of the year. Mountain storms will fire up again Tuesday afternoon, but the coverage may be a bit thinner than the previous two nights across the Western Slope. Midweek period brings a break from the stronger wind speeds and the passing showers and thunderstorms, but NOT the hot temperatures.
The late week weather pattern looks to support more storm coverage along with less hot temperatures. The heat maker (ridge of high pressure) will have moved east and a low pressure system will park itself off the California coast pushing in storms through at least the start of this weekend, perhaps longer.
