Cool temperatures will make another appearance on the Western Slope Tuesday morning, but the afternoon high temperatures will be very close to the norm. Grand Junction averages 75° and Montrose 73° this time of the year.
An upper level ridge will move into the region Tuesday afternoon and remain intact through the end of this week. After Tuesday, the expectation is a slow warm-up (no record heat) with afternoon highs running a little warmer than the average for this time of the year. Mostly clear, a light breeze and very dry conditions will continue through the weekend and for the next few weeks, at least the dry pattern will continue.
