Late Tuesday afternoon/evening the showers and thunderstorms should continue to develop east of Delta/Montrose and over the High Country. These storms will likely continue into the evening hours with some brief gusty/storm associated wind speeds. A partly cloudy and clearing sky will occupy the late night forecast and temperatures will be jumping to the upper 70s and low 80s for Wednesday. Wind speeds will continue 10-25 mph for the midweek along with mostly clear and dry conditions.
The next weather maker will be a cold front moving through the region for the upcoming weekend. Temperatures will drop minimally, but wind speeds will increase greatly Thursday and Friday. Friday will also hold the next chance for showers and thunderstorms as we wrap up this work week. The weekend should remain dry, breezy and slightly warmer. Mountain storms will also continue to develop each afternoon through the start of next week.
