The low temperatures Tuesday morning could be nearly 20° cooler than those Monday morning. Drier conditions will prevail later Tuesday after a drizzle start to the last day of June.

Other than wet roads early Tuesday, there should be minimal travel impacts. High elevations above 11, 000 feet could get a fresh dusting of snow! day. A light breeze will continue through early Tuesday with stronger winds expected back into the southern zones. High temperatures will be influenced by the post frontal pattern and cooler temperatures will continue through Wednesday afternoon. A clearer sky is anticipated for the midweek period along with drier and calmer conditions. July will technically start below the temperature average Wednesday, but by the end of this week and into the first weekend of July the temperatures will continue to rise above the average. Friday, Saturday and Sunday have an unsettled weather pattern with wind, clouds, heat and daily storm potential.

Average high temperature for Grand Junction is 92°/Montrose 89°. Rain deficits for both sites are -1.51″ and -2.95″ respectively. Monday afternoon, Grand Junction recorded a wind gust of 44 mph, Montrose recorded a 46 mph gust.
