High pressure and an upper level ridge will lock dry stable air above the Western Slope causing rain chances to stay out of the picture for the next few days. This ridge will continue to warm our highs over the weekend as we will see 80s in the Grand Valley for Saturday and Sunday, and potentially 90s for the first time this year in Grand Junction early next week. As we look into early next week, possible Red Flag Warnings with the addition of wind to the forecast. Low chance of rain showers, but there is a possibility late next week. However, it looks likely there will be stronger wind speeds next Friday/Saturday instead of the scattered rain outlook. This forecast could change, stay tuned.
