With the clear skies we are seeing chilly morning lows to start the day. Our 5 am temperatures are in the 50s for the Grand Valley. Gunnison this morning is seeing temperatures just above freezing. We can expect to see cooler conditions for the morning hours, but with clear skies we will warm up rather quickly for the afternoon hours. Highs will mostly be in the 80s, but Grand Junction and Delta will still reach the lower 90s. Southwesterly flow will push in plenty of moisture overnight bringing in cloudier skies for tomorrow, and several scattered rain showers and thunderstorms tomorrow afternoon. These scattered showers will continue through the overnight hours and into Wednesday morning. Rain showers will tend to favor higher elevations closer towards the Divide, but we will still see above a 50% chance for showers in the lower valleys. Valley rain will tend to be on the lighter side, but we will still see the potential for bursts of heavier downpours. When the rain chances move in expect high temperatures to drop around 10 degrees across the board for tomorrow. Rain chances look to dry up for Friday and the weekend.
