We will see several off and on scattered rain showers today on the Western Slope. Showers will tend to be on the lighter side for the morning hours, but once we get into the afternoon we will see a few stronger isolated thunderstorms. Showers will still heavily favor the higher terrain, but we will still see some rain in the lower valleys. Scattered showers will Keep temperatures cool all day with highs in the lower to mid 70s for the Grand Valley, and 60s over the higher elevations. The heaviest rain looks to move in between 2 and 4pm this afternoon, but the potential for heavy showers will linger through the evening hours. Chances for valley rain will drop substantially overnight, and we will start to see drier air get pushed in for the afternoon hours on Thursday. This drier air will clear our skies up, and we will see sunny skies all day Friday. Temperatures will still stay cool in the 70s for tomorrow, but highs will return to the 80s for Friday and the weekend. The clear skies and warmer temperatures will continue through the weekend, but more rain chances will move in for Tuesday of next week.
