Scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will move in late this morning on the Western Slope. These showers will keep highs cool in the 60s and 70 today. Stronger thunderstorms will move over the Umcomphagre’s around 9 am this morning. The heaviest rain will fall this afternoon and evening, but we will still have a some stronger storm cell late this morning. Once we get to the end of the day Thursday dry air will move in, and skies will clear up for Friday and the weekend. Rain totals from today and tomorrow’s event will be around an inch in the lower valleys, and some of the higher elevations could see up to 3 inches. Highs for tomorrow will stay cool in the lower to mid 70s, but we will be back in the upper 70s to lower 80s for Friday and the weekend. Warm temperatures, sunny skies, and dry weather will continue into the start of next week.
