Sunny skies will shine across the Western Slope today. Sunny conditions will persist over the next few days. Our high temperatures will warm up to be 3 – 5 degrees warmer than yesterday and will be one degree shy of breaking the record. There will be localized fire weather concerns for Northeastern Utah and Northwestern Colorado due to high winds today. Tonight’s lows will be similar to yesterday’s in the 50s and 40s. A polar jet will move in on Friday and fire weather warnings will expand due to further increased winds. High temperatures will continue to be just short of record breaking.
Calmer weather is expected for this weekend. Dry conditions and high pressure will continue to dominate the skies, but a dry cold front will move through and knock our temperatures back to around 5 degrees warmer than average.
