Temperatures have not be cold enough to support snow down low, so rain has been the order of business with Tuesday’s weather.
Grand Junction received a little over a tenth of an inch while Montrose went with a much lower measurement for the day. There is the expectation of one more round of evening rain showers before clearing commences around ten pm Tuesday. The clearing sky, the lower morning temperatures and the dewpoint rising… there could be some areas of fog Wednesday morning. Middle and upper 30 degree readings are expected and by Wednesday afternoon temperatures should be back into the seasonal averages (again) under a mostly clear sky. There is supposed to be another round of weather swinging through the region Friday, but this system may never drop far enough south (into Colorado) to be of any use. A high pressure system appears to be dominating the models and as such, conditions could remain mostly clear, dry and mild through this weekend.
