Sunny conditions will continue again for the Western Slope today. The warming trend will also remain in place, though there will be no record high temperatures. Average high for this time of the year at Montrose is 78° and for Grand Junction it is 81°.
The best chance for rain might accompany the next weather maker, a cold front due this weekend. Ahead of that cold front (Friday/Saturday) the wind speeds are expected to gust up and some Red Flag Warnings will be possible. We will continue to keep an eye on this system for potential changes moving forward. Expect cooler temperatures this time next week.
