The Western Slope will experience near normal/slightly above normal temperatures with clear and dry conditions. The normal high temperatures for this time of the year for Grand Junction is 86° and the normal high temperature for Montrose is 83°. After today, the region is going with a hotter and drier forecast with high temperatures (through this weekend) right back into the upper 90s and lower 90s for GJ and Montrose. Thursday could go breezy and Red Flag Warnings may be possible for a few locations, but no rain and very few clouds will enter the forecast period.
The next chance of cooler and rainier conditions will appear for the middle of next week. If the long term forecast holds up and a low pressure system kicks across the Western United States, a cold front should deliver the goods.
