We saw gusty winds return to the Western Slope this evening. Temperatures have continued to warm up as highs were about 5 degrees above normal. Cloudier skies will be moving in overnight causing morning lows to be similar to today’s. A cold front will move through the Western Slope tomorrow afternoon bringing more chances for scattered showers for the late afternoon and evening hours. Most of these showers will fall as rain, but there will be a few snow showers over the mountain tops. The Grand Valley will be mostly dry from this event, but there will be a low chance for a rain shower to sneak in for the afternoon, and evening. Winds will stay on the gustier side until the front passes. As we look to Sunday morning all of the scattered showers will be clearing up, and we will see plenty of sunshine to close out the weekend. High temperatures will be in the upper 60s and lower 70s for the Grand Valley over the weekend, and highs will even potential reach the 80s early next week.
